I am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with over a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults navigating mental health challenges, life transitions, and emotional distress. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice.
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotion regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, and personality-related concerns, including Borderline Personality Disorder. My therapeutic style is practical and skills-focused, helping clients develop tools they can use in their everyday lives while creating space to explore deeper patterns, experiences, and goals.
Drawing from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and trauma-informed care, I tailor treatment to each person's unique strengths, needs, and circumstances. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel understood, empowered, and supported in building a life that aligns with their values.
My experience across hospitals, community mental health programs, and health systems has reinforced my belief that mental health does not exist in isolation. I strive to understand each person within the broader context of their relationships, experiences, identities, and environments while providing practical support to help them move forward with confidence.
15 Minute phone or video call for you to get to know me, my approach and tell me a little bit about why you're seeking services. Free of charge.
60 minute session where I will do a biopsychosocial assessment and explore relevant history that pertain to the presenting concerns. It will be my opportunity to get to know you and your needs so that we can collaboratively put together a treatment plan and therapy goals. Depending on the acuity of your concerns, assessments may take up to 3 sessions. After completing assessment sessions, you will receive a treatment plan detailing what intervention we will be using, goals that you have set and the frequency of sessions. This is not mandatory as you can opt for psychotherapy sessions.
50 minute sessions where we work on therapy goals using our treatment plan as a guide. If you would like to sign up for general sessions without having an initial assessment, this would be an appropriate service for you. We will reflect and process your presenting concerns.
60 minute sessions where clients, their care givers or family members attend together to work on therapy goals. This is usually pre planned and conducted with the consent of the client. This may also look like a parent/couple session where I update family members about skills that have been taught to client, psycho education, and tips that may be helpful.
